This painting is a quiet reflection about sitting in meditation under a tree, like where Buddha was said to attain enlightenment. Ah, but if only his tree was cotton candy pink, how dreamy and surreal the feeling.
Coincidentally, I was painting this as I was recovering from concussion and I had to note the uncanny similarity to the human brain, which I thought also tied into the theme of a peaceful mind.
We all need BEAUTY in this world, to remind us of what's most important — our humanity, and the higher expressions of our heart. I feel most passionate about inspiring the elevation of the human condition, through energetic abstract expressions of spirited emotions.
